Remember, remember… The 22nd of November!

November 22, 2013 is certainly a date many Nintendo followers are looking forward to.  Nintendo has created a beautiful selection of unique pixelated universes for us to indulge in and I’ll be more than happy to take you on a tour.

Super Mario 3D World

I already talked about my hype about this game for the Wii U in my Let the console war begin! Part II post.  HOWEVER, it is no problem for me to recap the awesomeness of this game and add a little something extra.  SM3DW is essentially the first 3D multiplayer platform presented by Nintendo.  You will have the option of choosing between Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad – each with their own unique abilities – to tackle the new 3D world.  Toad is the fastest at everything.  Peach can float on air for a few seconds.  Luigi jumps the highest of them all, while Mario is the overall.  In addition to classic powers like the one obtained by touching a Fire Flower, SM3DW will feature new power ups and power suits like the Cherry (whatever character will duplicate when coming in contact with it), Hammer Bro Suit (which lets you embody the powers of a Hammer Bro), and Cat Suit (that lets you pounce on enemies and climb up walls).  Add sleds, baseballs, cannon block helmets, piranha plants, Rosalina…  And, oh, so much more!  SM3DW promises hours, upon hours of fun whether you’re tackling it alone or with friends!

Mario Party: Island Tour

Continuing on the Mario Bros. train, let’s take a minute to wrap our heads around the new Mario Party available for the Nintendo 3DS.  MPIT will take your favorite characters to play in board game arenas with around 80 minigames.  You’ll get to use your 3DS features in imaginable ways in an attempt to clear the challenges ahead as flawlessly as possible and make your way to the top – being crowned the Superstar.  Not much was released about MPIT, butno need to fret.  Why?  Because when has a Mario Party game been a bust?  Exactly.  Never.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Now, this game I am undoubtedly thrilled about.  TLOZ: ALBW for the Nintendo 3DS will present a new game dynamic completely different than what Zelda gamers are accustomed to: you can choose the order of which dungeons you want to tackle with no apparent linear gameplay.  How is the possible?  In TLOZ: ALBM you are aided by a mystical character named Ravio who will let you rent key items needed to complete certain dungeons.  You decide to either smash switches with a powerful hammer to start off your quest or take a hold of the magic wand and set your enemies ablaze.  Link also gets this cool and new ability where he is able to plaster himself inside walls as if he was some sort of painting and (thanks to the power of the Triforce of Courage) he can travel within the walls.  New allies.  New dungeons.  New villains.  Can it get sweeter than that?  Well, yes.  Yes, it can.  To honor the game’s release, Nintendo will have for a limited time a TLOZ: ALBM themed 3DS XL!

How SICK is this?!

Ugh…  I die…

Hope you enjoyed the nice little tour!  See you around!
